Location tracking Mobile phone number

Is there any way to track a mobile phone number location without the person knowing?

There is no real way of doing it besides installing monitoring software on the phone or activating Find my iPhone/Android... You could try to acquire their IP address using Grabify which should narrow down the search to their approximate area or city (but not their exact location), assuming they are not using a VPN or proxy. Or we have had some success with this tool.
